Library Trip

A recent trip to the library surprised me with many gifts. I love local publications almost as much as I love anything that is showing on my directv houston satellite tv channels. My adoration for local papers and magazines prompted me to pick up a recent copy of the local family magazine. It gave me a lot of ideas to keep my kids busy during the summer. The article surprised me by giving me actual places I should visit with my kids. Some of the places are free; some places required me to spend a few dollars. The first place on the list was a toy store. I do not like toy stores because of the consumerism. I also do not like having to bring my kids out of a store crying because I refused to buy the latest gadget or doll. This toy store is different. They buy and sell used toys. That sounds like a great store to have during these hard economic times. What is even more fascinating about the store is that it is owned by a mom.
